Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association, is advocating for the implementation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology in the upcoming second round of the Ghana Premier League.

Alex Kotey, the Referees Manager and VAR team leader, confirmed Okraku's ambition to introduce VAR in the second half of the league, set to begin in January 2025.
Okraku believes that VAR will significantly improve the quality of officiating in the league.
The Ghana FA is now waiting for FIFA's official endorsement to proceed with the VAR implementation in the country's domestic competitions.
