Legon Cities FC have moved fast to deny media reports that they have terminated the contracts of 20 players.
Reports on Monday indicated that the top brass of the Royals have decided to part company with 20 of their players as they seek to beef up the senior team in the ongoing transfer window.
However, the club’s communications director Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang in an interview with FMIG has refuted the reports.
He says the club is rather looking at strengthening their team and definitely will
“There is no truth in that, obviously we are looking at getting in a few players to augment our squad before the football season resumes”.
“We can only register 30 players at a time, so what’s likely to happen is that when the new players come in, certain players might have to move or go on loan”.
“But I can categorically tell you that we are not letting 20 players go anywhere” he boldly claimed.
