Legon Cities FC is closing in on experienced defender Awal Mohammed as they seek to bring stability to their back.
Ghanacrusader understands that officials of the rebranded club have already started talks with the player and the deal could materialize in the coming week.
Awal was on the verge of signing for an Ethiopian club last year but the deal failed to go through and he has been without a club since then.
The one-time Black Stars defender could play a major role as Legon Cities try to avoid the relegation zone.
Awal has previously played for Feyenoord Academy (WAFA), Kotoko, Maritzburg United, Al Shabaab and a host of other teams.
