Levante striker Emmanuel Boateng says he expects to score more goals after breaking his goal-scoring drought in the La Liga.
Boateng scored his first goal after a run of ten games in the Spanish topflight without finding the back of the net. The 22 year old registered his first goal for Levante this season in the 2-2 draw against Huesca last Sunday.
Ahead of their home game against Athletico Bilbao, the Ghana international has promised to score a lot of goals in the season.
"I'm very happy, I always ask God to score a goal and I scored my first goal of the season last weekend, I think we're going to do a lot this year, yes," the Ghanaian striker said in a television interview.
Manager Paco Lopez seems to have regained confidence in the young Ghanaian forward who stole the headlines in Spain last season after scoring a hat-trick against Barcelona to end the Catalans unbeaten run.
Emmanuel Boateng did not start the first two games of the season due to injury and struggled a bit after making a return.
The former Moreirense forward has to compete with Roger Marti who is Levante’s leading scorer and manager Paco Lopez’s first choice forward.
