Donyell Malen scored a crucial late goal, allowing Borussia Dortmund to narrowly defeat Sturm Graz on Tuesday.
The German team, leading the Champions League in goals this season, struggled to break through the defense of visiting goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen, who thwarted their first 18 attempts.
The towering Dutch keeper, on loan from Brighton, delivered several impressive saves in the first half, denying Marcel Sabitzer, Max Beier, and Serhou Guirassy in rapid succession.
