Hearts of Oak midfielder Malik Akowuah and Christopher Bonney are not worthy of wearing the club’s jersey according to the Western regional chapters chairman, Ebenezer Buaben.
Mr.Buaben in a rant on Aseda FM, condemned the management of the club for consistently signing ‘scraps’ to the team.
He revealed that he advised against the pursuit of Akowuah from Medeama last season and is again questioning the reasoning behind the recruitment of former Kotoko right-back Christopher Bonney.
“I am shocked Hearts of Oak wants to sign rusty Christopher Bonney, is this player the kind of player who is supposed to play for Hearts of Oak?” he quizzed
"I am not okay with the way things are going at Accra Hearts of Oak. I advised management not to sign Akowuah last season because he is not a good player, this is a player who has played 3 seasons each for both Olympics and AshGold and some seasons with Hasaacas” Buaben fumed
“How can you sign such a fading player whiles energetic Hasaacas midfielder, Theophilus Nana Awortwe was available.
Alhaji Akambi signed Akowuah ahead of Nana Awortwe because he has an interest to him" he added.
