The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has urged the senior national football team, the Black Stars to remain United and stay focused as they get ready to participate in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Ahead of the team’s departure for pre-tournament camping in the United Arab Emirates, the Muslim component of the team, led by Captain Andre Dede Ayew called on Sheikh Sharubutu at his residence at New Fadama, Accra on Friday morning. The delegation also included Head Coach, Kwesi Appiah and his assistant, Ibrahim Tanko.
Addressing the players and their technical handlers, Sheikh Osman told them there is strength in unity so they should remain united as a group as they seek to make the nation proud.
The Chief Imam prayed for the team and urged them to train very hard and remain focused for the challenge ahead in Egypt.
