The vacant Black Stars coaching job attracted 91 foreign coaches who tendered in their application to be handed the job, GHANAsoccernet can exclusively reveal.
Initial reports were that the total number of coaches to have applied for the vacant job was 71 but insiders have revealed that the number shot up to 95 including four local coaches.
The Black Stars top job became vacant after former Chelsea boss Avram Grant parted ways with the Ghana FA following the side’s poor show in the 2017 AFCON.
A six-member committee was appointed by the Ghana FA to look for a new coach for the West African side.
The committee opened application on February 27 to 10th March 21, 2017.
Close sources to the committee have disclosed that 91 foreign coaches and 4 local coaches applied for the job.
Top English coaches like Harry Redknapp and Garry Neveille as well as former Italy shot stopper Walter Zenga and Brazilian star Roberto Carlos are among the list of coaches who applied for the job.
