Public Relations Officer for Accra Hearts of Oak, Opare Addo has debunked rumours circulating in the media that there has been a rift between midfielder Malik Akowuah and Head coach Frank Nutal and that the player has handed in a transfer request.
Speaking to media on the issue after the launch of the StarTimes/GFA gala He said, “Malik has not handed in a transfer request. I was reading it in some section of the media and it came to me as a surprise . Malik has not officially put in a transfer request and if he does we will not hide it”.
Opare Addo also stated that Hearts of Oak have learnt their lesson after the Richard Zuma saga, and will not repeat that mistake again.
“These are lessons we have learnt so well, we will protect ourselves going forward in how to deal with player situations especially giving a huge platform to players and eventually it turns out to something to come back and hit the club. We have learnt good lessons and going forward we will know."
