Orland Pirates' interest in Maritzburg United's Richard Ofori has reportedly “intensified,” with the Bucs linked with a summer move for the goalkeeper.
The 26-year-old has been previously linked with Pirates as a potential summer transfer after impressive performances for his side.
He recently had the added one-year option on his contract exercised, which secures his services until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Ofori is enjoying his best season in the South African ABSA Premier League with Maritzburg United - keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding only 17 goals in 22 games.
According to Siya sources, Maritzburg are open to letting the Ghanaian go, but this only to the highest bidder at the end of the season.
The Bucs would need to table an impressive offer to the Team of Choice in order to finally land their long-time transfer target.
The former Wa All Stars ace has been nominated for the 2019/20 South Africa Premier League Best Player of the season as well as Best Goalkeeper of the season.
