Papers criticise Milan and Juventus signings after slow start to 2024-25 season

The Italian press raised concerns on Saturday regarding the transfer activities of Milan and Juventus, questioning the effectiveness of their significant investments.

Juventus's spending was notably higher, nearing €200 million, although they also generated around €118 million from player sales and successfully lowered their wage expenses with the departures of Federico Chiesa and Adrien Rabiot.
In contrast, Milan's expenditure was about €66 million, with fewer player sales compared to Juventus.
Consequently, Milan's net spend was around €53 million, while Juventus's was approximately €80 million.
Overall, the contributions of the summer signings for both clubs have been inconsistent thus far.
