Rose Yeboah, the African women's high jump champion, will begin her Olympic journey on Friday as Ghana's first female high jump Olympian.
Competing in Group A alongside record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh, Yeboah aims to qualify for the final by clearing 1.97m or being among the top 12.
Since her debut in 2019, the 22-year-old has won multiple gold medals, including at the African Games and African Athletics Seniors Championships.
Yeboah's recent achievements include a 1.97m jump at the NCAA, securing her Olympic qualification. She hopes to reach the finals and earn a medal, making history for Ghana.
