Vice Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), George Amoako has praised referees who have officiated in the on-going G-8 tournament, saying that, their performance in the opening matches was impressive.
George Amoako told FootballMadeInGhana.com in an interview that, the referees’ output in the first round of group matches added quality to the competition.
”This is the first time we’ve played matches in Ghana without hearing any comments after the game” he said. “People lose matches and make a lot of comments but this time no comment has been made after the games. We watch the matches and everything was okay”.
”What the organisers have observed from the first round of the matches is that, the quality of the game and performances [have been] good. The clubs played good football [and] we were all happy” with.
”The only problem we had was the patronage. I believe people spent a lot during the holidays and couldn’t get money to watch the games but all put together, the organisation has been very good” he added.
