Razak Pimpong’s son Malik named in Denmark U17 squad

Denmark’s U17 head coach, Søren Hermansen, has selected Malik Pimpong, son of former Ghana striker Razak Pimpong, for the 2024 Inter-Nordic tournament.

The 16-year-old, playing for FC Midtjylland's youth team, will join Denmark's squad in the tournament featuring friendly matches among Nordic countries.

Despite representing Denmark, Malik remains eligible to play for Ghana at the senior level. His father, Razak Pimpong, made ten appearances for Ghana, including at the 2006 World Cup.

Denmark will face Finland U17 on August 1, Norway on August 3, and Sweden on August 8 in this year’s tournament hosted by Sweden.
