The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) has been fined €128,000 by UEFA following offensive and provocative chants, including "Kosovo is Serbia," during a Euro 2024 qualifier against Kosovo.
Fans also disrupted the national anthem and transmitted political messages. This marks the third disciplinary incident involving the two teams recently.
In September 2023, Romania was fined €40,000 and ordered to play a game behind closed doors for similar fan behavior. Meanwhile, Kosovo’s Football Federation (FFK) was fined €61,000 last month for fan misconduct during a Nations League match against Romania.
