Roy Ankrah, the Black Flash, is dead. The man, who in the '50s put Ghana, then the Gold Coast, on the boxing map, finally lost the battle against a long illness on Sunday, 28 May 1995.

Roy Ankrah, the Black Flash, is dead. The man, who in the '50s put Ghana, then the Gold Coast, on the boxing map, finally lost the battle against a long illness on Sunday, 28 May 1995. Born John Theophilus Oti Ankrah on Christmas Day 73 years ago, Roy died while being conveyed to hospital from his home in Dansoman Estate in Accra.
