Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim has made a passionate call to the fans to rally behind the team ahead of their Africa campaign.
The Phobians are returning to Africa for the first time in so many years and according to the former Eleven Wonders player, Hearts of Oak's success will depend on the supporters.
The Ghanaian giants have been paired against Guinean outfit Club Industriel de Kamsar in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Ahead of the tie, Salifu Ibrahim is calling on the teeming fans of the club for unflinching support.
“They should keep supporting us and I believe with their support, everything will be fine for us in Africa,” he said.
Meanwhile, Malian referees have been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to take charge of Hearts of Oak’s Champions League preliminary first-leg clash against Guinean side CI Kamsar.
Sory Ibrahima Keita Sory will be the center referee and he will be assisted by Drissa Kamory Niare and Amadou Belly Guisse Amadou as assistants 1 and 2 respectively.
Harouna Coulibaly, another Malian, will be the fourth official for the game.
The clash is slated for Nongo-Stade General Lansana Conte on September 12.
