Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu says Songne Yacouba's season at the club has ended if he doesn't renew his contract after rejecting the club's offers.
The 28-year-old has been omitted from the squad in Kotoko's last two games - against arch rivals Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals in the on-going 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.
Yacouba says he will only sign a new deal if the Porcupine Warriors will pay him an astonishing $150,000 for a three-year deal.
Speaking in an interview following their 1-1 stalemate against Liberty Professionals, coach Maxwell Konadu said the forward will not make the match-day squad in the rest of their games if he fails to renew his contract.
"Like I said last weekend, he [Songne Yacouba] is now not part of my team for the season," coach Konadu told reporters.
"Yacouba will return to the match-day squad in any of our subsequent games if he agrees terms with the club over a new deal.
"His season at Kotoko has ended if he doesn't renew his contract."
