Special aide to the Sports Minister, Kofi Asare Brako has backed the decision by the Ghana Football Association to hand the Black Stars coaching job to Charles Kwabla Akoonor.
The former Accra Hearts of trainer was appointed to replace Kwasi Appiah at the expiration of his contract.
Kofi Asare Brako in an interview with the Kumasi based Fox FM said the former Black Stars captain is ripe for the job.
“We support CK’s appointment at 100%. There is nothing wrong with handing the team to Akonnor because he has served as captain and is capable of leading them as a coach as well”. He said.
He has therefore called on Ghanaians to give unflinching support to the newly appointed Black Stars to be successful.
