Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has agreed to pay the wages of Alcobendas, the Spanish fourth division club he owns.
This is to prevent the club from seeking state funding with football suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Partey bought the club in August last year together with his own agent Jose Jimenez and two others.
Alcobendas, based in the outskirts of Madrid, plays in Spanish Tercera Group 7.
The Ghana international has been in the news lately with his future speculations.
He has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and also Italian Serie A giants AS Roma and Inter Milan.
