The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shamed critics who claimed he lacked academic certificates.

The opposition, Peoples Democratic Party had earlier claimed that the APC flagbearer had no certificate to show he attended any school.

Tinubu having skipped information regarding his primary and secondary education in the INEC form, said he attended Chicago State University.

The PDP was of the view that the ruling party flagbearer’s latest claim was contradicting his previous submissions, especially in 1999, when he ran and won the Lagos State governorship election. He later said he attended St Paul Children’s School, Aroloya and Home School, Ibadan, between 1958 and 1964 for his primary education; while his secondary education was at Government College Ibadan (GCI), between 1965 and 1968.

Also, in a sworn affidavit in support of his nomination form for the office of the president, Tinubu said he “went on self-exile from October 1994 to October 1998 (and) when I returned and discovered that my property including all the documents relating to my qualification and my certificates in respect of paragraph 3 above were looted by unknown persons.”

Since the controversy regarding Tinubu obtaining a degree from Chicago State University, the institution has confirmed his claim in a letter.

The University stated that Bola Tinubu indeed attended the school from August 1977 – June 1979. Adding that he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration on June 22, 1979.

The release by the Chicago State University has since silenced the oppositions as more Nigerians have begun declaring their support for Tinubu.

Even the actors and actresses in Nollywood have shared a video recording of themselves urging Nigerians to vote for Bola Tinubu to become president.

Legendary actor, Jide Kosoko also drummed support for the APC presidential candidate, according to him, he believes Tinubu’s leadership experience convinced him to support his ambition.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is contesting the 2023 general election alongside Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and others.
