Black Queens defender Janet Egyir has been named the player of the tournament at the WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations.
The center-back gave a good account of herself in the competition as she helped Ghana to clinch the inaugural competition.
Egyir, 25, netted three times in five matches for the Black Queens and was the heroin when she scored the only goal in the finals against Cote d’ Ivoire to help the team win the ultimate.
The Hasaacas Ladies hard-tackler played every single minutes for the Black Queens in the competition.
