Watch Emmanuel Boateng's first interview at Swedish side Elfsborg

Ghanaian midfielder, Emmanuel Boateng has said that his main goal is to help Elfsborg win the Swedish Allsvenskan this term.

The 24-year-old finally arrived at the club after six weeks of frustration due to the delay in securing an entry visa and residence permit.

But he met his new teammates on Friday to start the next phase of his football career.

"My main goal here will be to help the team as best I can. The fact that the team is also in a good position in the table means, of course, that they will fight to win the league this winter," Boateng told the club's media outlet.

"I am sure that everyone on the team, including myself, wants to win the league, so that is something we will work hard for."
