Ghana defender Samuel Sarfo was on target for Iranian outfit Saipa FC on Tuesday evening as they walloped Indian side Minerva FC by four goals to nothing in the Asian Champions League.
The former Liberty Professionals skipper was the brightest spot at the Takhti Stadium Stadium in Tehran as he put up a brilliant performance in defence.
Sarfo netted his side’s third goal in in the 73rd with a fantastic header after Arash Rezavand and Arman Ramezani had opened the scoring in the 8th and 24th minute respectively.
Arash Rezavand completed the rout with Saipa’s fourth goal in the 81st minute.
The second leg is scheduled for next week in India.
