Black Stars coach CK Akonnor, has admitted that his side were poor in their 1-0 win over Ethiopia in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on Friday.
Mubarak Wakaso scored the only goal of the game to secure the three points for the Black Stars as they go top of Group G in the qualifiers.
It was an uninspiring performance from CK Akonnor’s side against the Ethiopians.
Some players also failed to turn up in the game as the Black Stars had to settle for the 1-0 win.
Addressing the media after the poor performance of his team, Akonnor said, “There were also other bad performances from some players on the field
“We managed to win. It was a very difficult game. We were not too exciting as we were expected to play I must admit. But we managed to win the three points which is the most important thing”, he added.
Ghana will travel to Johannesburg to play South Africa on Monday, September 6, 2021
