Not long ago, Ivorian musician Freddy Meiway revealed in an interview with Joy FM how Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie disrespected him by failing to collaborate with him on a song.
In the process, Sarkodie took to social media particularly Twitter and in a series of tweets, apologised profusely and narrated events. He admitted that, he had received the song and that he was waiting for the right moment before jumping on it but the mistake he did was not updating the legendary Ivorian musician.
But Freddy Meiway reacting to Sarkodie’s apology via social media has described it as unfortunate and a mark of disrespect on the part of the rapper. According to the Ivorian musician, Sarkodie apologised to the public but not him.
Freddy Meiway speaking to Joy News’ Doreen Avio revealed that Sarkodie has access to his number so if anything he should have called him and explained things to him than to sit on social media to share sentiments.
“It’s a mistake. The first time I wanted to work with him, I searched for his number and called him via phone. I didn’t sit on social media. So, if Sarkodie wanted to apologise for his inability to feature on my song, the best thing for him to do then was to call and explain things”, Freddy Meiway disappointedly said.
However, the ‘stubborn’ rapper in a recent conversation with his fans via Facebook live posited that he’ll personally call the Ivorian musician to apologise to him in order to let sleeping dogs lie.
