I will reform the constitution and fight corruption – Alan Kyerematen

Alan Kyerematen, presidential candidate for the Movement for Change, has pledged to reform Ghana's Constitution and tackle corruption if elected in 2024.

Speaking in the Ashanti Region, he criticized the excessive powers of the president under the 1992 Constitution, linking it to inefficiency and poor governance.

Kyerematen plans to decentralize power to local authorities and make key positions like anti-corruption agency heads independent of presidential influence.

He also aims to consolidate anti-corruption institutions into a single body, led by a corruption czar with independent prosecutorial powers, to ensure transparency and accountability.
