The man must be sacked if indeed the President wants to stamp his feet down, otherwise his ministers will take the pampering of Muntaka as excuse to corrupt themselves. This report is most inredible, absurd and very wierd. Were the investigators expecting the minister to keep records on these corrupt practices he involved himself in. Who in Ghana collects or issues receipts for bribery and corruption? Right from the word go, staffers at the castle started giving all sorts of comments doubting the authenticity of the report. So what outcome did people expect to emerge from this so-called investigation apart from what has just come out? The minister himself admitted on Peace FM that he took per diem of GHC2000 instead of GHC1120 claiming he was not aware that he did not deserve that. Muntaka also admittedin the said radio interview that he took his girl-friend to Cote d'Ivoire to watch the CHAN finals because she made the request. How could anybody exonorate him on his own plea of guilt in this regard? President Mills must know that Ghanaians are not fools to be deceived by the NDC all the time because in 2012, we shall no t exonerate him and his ministers for their poor handling of the ecomini. If this is the way Mills will handle allegations, what is the differnce between him and Kufuor who demanded proof before proceeding? In Kufuor's case, he did not waste tax-payers' money to go on a wild goose chase so to speak. But what did Mills do? He decided to set up a K Nom Tea group to waste tax-payers' money knowing very well that he did not have the guts to bite after all. From the hullabaloo which emanated from the castle when this scandal surfaced, the outcome was predictable indeed. Could Mills have sacked Segbefia or asked the AG to prosecute Muntaka or any of his men? Truthfully, I don't see that in Mills.
