Ghana is celebrating 61 years of independence from colonial rule on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Many celebrities have taken to social media to send their best wishes for the occasion.
On-air-personality Afia Schwarzenegger also joined in to share a message on the Independence Anniversary. But her message was more to emphasize her often controversial nature which she described as 'fearless honesty'.
According to her, she derives such fearlessness from a part of Ghana's National Anthem. "Fill our hearts with true humility, Make us cherish fearless honesty, And help us to resist oppressors' rule'.
Becos some Ghanaians don't understand the National anthem, they don't cherish Queen Afia Schwarzenegger's FEARLESS HONESTY I'm a citizen and not spectator. I Love Ghana #queenofcomedygh #onyameKala #onyamehighlyinvolved #gossipdiva #Godfidence #PoliticalPolice #Leave2live," she posted on Instagram. And she posted her message with a photo of herself in a police uniform offering a salute.
Born Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, Afia Schwar burst onto the scene with her lead role in the popular TV series, Afia Schwarzenegger.
After falling out with the show's producers, Afia went on to carve a career both as radio and TV presenter. Having been involved in many altercations with other prominent people, Afia has got a reputation for being controversial. But Afia has often maintained that she is not controversial and that people have problems with her because of her bluntness.
Her recent post seems to emphasize that stance of hers. The police uniform looks good on her. Don't you think?
