Ark Media holds O-Skul Sankofa lecture

Read full articleThe purpose for the lecture was to bring together both current and old students of second cycle institutions, to share their “Unique Schools Values” that propels success and produces great leaders.
The lecture is part of activities marking the celebration of the Accra Vintage Festival. The festival is geared towards the older generation, who completed secondary education at least 25 years ago.
Activities lined up include an Inter O-Skul Pop Chain competition, a Vintage Car Show and the Sankofa lecture which took place yesterday.
Representatives from some selected schools who spoke at the lecture were Kwamina Assan from St John’s, Sekondi, Vesper Amoah from Mawuli Secondary, Volta Region, Nana Asare from Prempeh School in Kumasi, Ebo Gyebi from Opoku Ware, Adjei Bisa from Achimota, and Nii Quansah Abbey-Ashong from Accra Academy.
Each speaker took the audience through their experiences while at school and the valuable lessons they picked up during their time at school.
“This event will be held annually in the month of July. I am urging the general public to anxiously anticipate the next event in August, which will include a Pop Chain Music competition and a Vintage Car Show”, CEO of Ark Media Stephen Ato Eshun revealed.
“This whole idea is basically to re-ignite the bond and friendship shared over the period while at school and also teach the current students the core values of life, education and human development”, Dennis Kosi Glah, the General Manager of Ark Media said in an interview with Ghanaweb.
