Comedian cum Radio and TV personality, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa well-known as Afia Schwarzenegger has hit hard at the New Patriotic Party over recent events that occurred during the Ayawaso West Wuogon polls, particularly at the Bawaleshie center.
Unlike her usual straightforward ‘venoms’, Afia this time, adopted sacarsm to express her appalment at the sloppiness with which the NPP Government and the National Security Agencies handled issues regarding the shooting and maltreatment of some individuals and members of the National Democratic Congress during the polls.
Speaking on her show “Atigya” on Youtube, , she congratulated the IGP, Interior Minister and the Police Service for looking on while citizens of the country were shot at and injured, looking on while chaos erupted at the grounds, looking on while some persons of the opposition National Democratic Congress were manhandled and slapped.
To the IGP, Interior Minister and the Police Service, she had this to say;
“We want to thank you all for ensuring peace in Thursday’s polls. Since birth, I had not, till now, witnessed any elections as peaceful as this one. It was very peaceful by all standards, especially if ‘only’ 8 people were injured. We want to thank especially, the IGP for making parents feel very safe, the Interior Minister as well, and the Police men, who enlightened us about the status of the armed, attired men; the fact that they were not police personnel despite the fact that they were in police cars and possessed police weapons, we are thankful”.
“We are thankful that you have given us the assurance that we can all have guns in our rooms, go out with it, shoot whoever we want and get the police to deny knowledge of us”.
“We are very grateful for a very successful by-election, God bless you all”, she said.
About Ningo Prampram MP, Sam George’s altercation with the armed men, she said,
“We are thankful to the police who watched on whilst Member of Parliament, Sam George was beaten without intervention because after all, he is loud-mouthed and therefore deserved the beatings, we are thankful to all of you”.
Sam George was traumatized last Thursday after he received some dirty slaps for allegedly challenging a security personnel who had stormed the residence of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wougon, Delali Kwesi Brempong.
The security personnel clothed in brown attires confronted the Ningo-Prampram MP for ‘hurling insults at him’.
The National Security Operative after verbal exchanges with Sam George gave him some dirty slaps. His conduct has been condemned by many who have called on the police to deal with the matter.
But the devastated NDC MP in an interview alleged members of the NPP’s Invincible Forces dressed up as National Security officials attacked him and fired several shots at him.
