Though Ghanaian artistes Kuami Eugene and Kidi, as well as their Nigerian counterpart Mr Eazy, have been making waves with their hit songs, Takoradi-based artiste, Singlet, says they will need collaboration with him to ‘gain stronger root’ in the music industry.
Speaking on Connect FM’s entertainment show Oil City Mix, Singlet said Kuame Eugene, Kidi and Mr. Eazy are young musicians and willing to do a music collaboration with them to promote their respective brands.
He told host of the show, DJ Oxygen, that as young as the artistes may be, collaborating with them on a song will not be a bad idea.
Signed to NKZ Music, Singlet has since his entry into the music industry worked with Castro, Stay Jay and collaborated Guru and Ayesem among other artistes.
In 2015, he stirred controversy when he claimed he had the best talent in the music industry. “In Ghana, when I look around, I can find good and better talents but I can confidently say that I am the best in Ghana now” Singlet claimed at the time.
Meanwhile, he has urged musicians in the Western Region, especially those based in Takoradi, should come together to form a bloc to raise the status of the region just like Papa Yankson, CK Mann and co did in their days.
