Ghana Music Xperience streaming platform, not an NPP app—Rex Omar

NDC creative arts spokesperson Rex Omar revealed that the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) collaborates with the developers of the Ghana Music Xperience (GMX) streaming platform to digitize its operations and generate revenue for its artists.

While he acknowledged the app as a positive initiative, he criticized its politicization, particularly claims that the ruling NPP government introduced it.

He emphasized that GMX is a private venture and called for depoliticizing such efforts to focus on their benefits to the music industry.
