Danchall singer Shatta Wale has lamented on how the Ghanaian media tagged him as local champion though his brand is big.
Shatta Wale also revealed that he couldn’t have secured the Beyonce collaboration if her team came to Ghana to ask about him.
He shared this sentiment in a recent interview with Candyman on Cape Coast-based Darling FM.
“My brand has been bigger from day 1 but the media polished me as a local champion.
Imagine if Beyonce had come to Ghana in search of an artiste to feature, trust me the industry players wouldn’t recommend me to her.
But as you know, God works in miraculous ways”, he said.
Shatta Wale got the chance to feature on Beyonce’s “The Lion King: The Gift” album on a song titled “Already”.
