Kumi Guitar, the highlife sensation from the stables of Zylofon Music Label, has declined to the rumors that he re-invested the money given to him to purchase the house in his contract with Zylofon Music Label.
The ‘Betweener” hitmaker, on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review on January 26, 2019, admitted that he indeed invested in Menzgold but it doesn’t necessarily mean his investment was resourced with the money meant for his house in the contract he signed with Zylofon. He further said that some of his colleagues such as Shatta Wale may decide to be public about his mansion but if he, Kumi, decides not to do same, it doesn’t mean he invested his money into Menzgold.
He further spoke about his contract with Zylofon. He revealed that he’s left with three years of his five-year contract from which he received a Hyundai Sonata car, a house and an amount of $100,000 as the first signee of the label. He, however, said he hasn’t been contacted by Economic and Organised Crime Organisation (EOCO) in relation to the rumors of the Zylofon signees having their assets investigated.
He also declined to the assertion that he didn’t merit his inclusion in the Zylofon Music Label Signees. He explained that, he wasn’t new to the industry. He had already worked with Sugar Stone and Mark Okraku Mantey who were household names in the music industry.
He also denied that the artistes under the Zylofon Music Label have problems with each other, especially him, Kumi Guitar, with Stonebwoy. He explained that, there was a problem which he thought he could through his music clear the airwaves but was misunderstood by the masses and seen as a diss song, especially by the following of Stonebwoy. He, meanwhile sees nothing dissing in the piece he made.
