The most decorated rapper in Ghana, Sarkodie, has reacted to past rumors which suggested that he was approached by Zylofon media to join their label.
Earlier this year, rumors went wild that the rapper was joining the 360 record label owned by business mogul Nana Appiah Mensah.
However, the rapper in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm has refuted such claims.
According to him, there was never a conversation like that between him and Nana Appiah Mensah even though they are very close.
“We never got a conversation like that but I had the opportunity to be very close to Nana Appiah Mensah and conversations that we’ve had, I think I understand his vision”
He added that there’s a need for Ghanaians to support Zylofon Media to succeed because they have the intention to push Ghanaian music far.
“I think we should all be Zylofon, not necessarily signed to the label. But we all have to support Zylofon, cause he [Nana Appiah Mensah] has this dream and I think he himself doesn’t even know how to go about it because this is entertainment and it’s not his field. So his flaws will be more and we will be using his flaws to critique him and maybe…. I know he is strong and he will not back out.. I don’t need to be signed to the label to support it but I think we all need to support Zylofon..” he said
