Actress, Lydia Forson has availed herself to the government to be used as one of the celebrity ambassadors to fight coronavirus as was announced by the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
The government through the Information Minister mentioned that the government intends to use celebrities as ambassadors for Corovirus so these celebrities can use their platforms as a means to educate the public.
According to the government, it is believed that these individuals with a huge following will be useful in the dissemination of information and education of the public.
One influencer who believes celebrities and other social influencers do not need to wait for an appointment as ambassadors before they engage their followers on Coronavirus has volunteered to use her platform for education on the virus.
She said “I don’t think we need to wait on the government to appoint #coronavirus ambassadors to disseminate information. I think every influencer should make their platform available to the ministry of information and health to share important information. All my pages are available”.
