I regret stopping my daughter from pursuing her musical ambition – Musician

Ghanaian rapper Pope Skinny, born Edwin Kwame Ohene Darko, expressed regret over discouraging his daughter’s early musical ambitions.

When she was five, she wrote and sang a song for him, but he advised her to focus on school first.

Reflecting on his decision, he cited the struggles female artists face, including difficulties in finding producers and potential exploitation.

While he feels guilty, he acted out of concern for her future.

Now in JHS 3, his daughter is excelling academically and serves as her school’s girls' prefect.
