'I thought of killing myself' – Victoria Lebene
Actress Victoria Osafo Nkansah has revealed that she has struggled with depression and anxiety at a point in her life to the extent that she almost committed suicide.

Speaking at the ‘Depression and Anxiety Forum’ organised by Edemfairre Foundation, Mrs Osafo Nkansah noted that whenever she is depressed, she shakes it off and moves on.
She said: “I’ve been through depression and even thought I will kill myself but it is one of the things that I’ve been able to work on, it’s one of the things that when I see signs of depression or anxiety popping up, I just shake it off and say no way. There is no way I will allow, depression and anxiety to walk into my life and just take over my life.”
The recently married actress advised Ghanaians to endeavor to engage in the act of prayer at all times.
“One thing I think we should really do or practice more is prayer. Nothing beats prayer… so when you pray, you speak to God, you confess certain things, I don’t want this thing to take over my life, there is no way depression can be a part of my life. Depression never sets in my life," she stressed.
