James Van Der Beek, Dawson’s Creek actor, diagnosed with bowel cancer

James Van Der Beek, the 47-year-old actor known for his role in Dawson's Creek, has publicly announced his diagnosis of bowel cancer.

In an interview with People, he shared that he has been privately managing the diagnosis but remains optimistic about his health, stating, “There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good.”

Van Der Beek continues to work, recently appearing in Walker and upcoming in the film Sidelined: The QB And Me.

He emphasizes the importance of family time with his wife, Kimberly, and their six children.

Bowel cancer, also known as colorectal cancer, is prevalent worldwide, presenting symptoms like rectal pain and changes in bowel habits.
