Kumawood movie actor, Kwaku Manu has said he feels indifferent he has been sidelined by movie producers as his passion for the industry has diminished.
The actor who has not been on the screen for three years said he is producing a television series and his own short funny videos while promoting assorted products for a living.
Speaking on the ‘Delay Show’ on Sunday, 27 May 2018, he stated that, he had passion for the movie industry but will not let the fact that he has been sidelined by producers break his heart.
“I’ll not allow acting to break my heart, I came to the movie industry with passion and later fell in love with it, but the zeal and enthusiasm is no more there,” he told show host Delay.
“I’m on set now with my team filming a new TV series and also some short funny videos because the producers are not calling me. I’ve been starved for three years, so for now, when I’m called, amen, if I’m not called, amen, because I don’t really care.”
Kwaku Manu explained to his fans that it is not his wish to stop acting in movies but he has been missing because he has been put on the back burner.
“Whenever I meet my fans, they ask when I’m coming back on the screen, it’s not that I don’t want to be in movies anymore, but the producers are not calling me. Even when I’m given a role, they’ll take me out,” he stated.
Kwaku Manu had earlier in 2017 disclosed that some movie producers were plotting to wreck his acting career by sidelining him.
