The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is empowering local musicians to thrive in the digital age through a nationwide training initiative.
The program has trained 32 musicians in content creation, online distribution, and social media strategies to help them effectively upload and promote their work on digital platforms.
Workshops were held in Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale, with the final session conducted on May 30-31, 2024.
Industry expert Kwabena Ofei-Kwadey Nkrumah, also known as Kobby Spikey, facilitated the sessions.
MUSIGA General Secretary S.K. Agyemang called the new Technical Resource Centre a "game changer," enabling musicians to navigate the digital landscape and grow their careers.
MUSIGA President Bessa Simons emphasized the importance of digital skills for generating revenue and reaching global audiences.
The center will provide ongoing support and resources, underscoring MUSIGA’s commitment to ensuring sustainable income and professional development for its members.
