Rapper Medikal has released a new song titled My Story, seemingly centred around his separation from estranged wife Fella Makafui.
The rapper opens up on how he is feeling amid the controversies surrounding his marriage.
“As I komot them dey put poison for my cup...person wey visit me for prison, take me go court…” he sings.
Medikal also alludes to his concern of losing his properties amid the divorce including ownership of their East Legon home.
Amid all this, Medikal says God keeps him strong and grounded.
This comes after Medikal made serious allegations against his estranged wife Fella Makafui.
Among other things, he claimed the actress had undergone a tummy tuck surgery to promote her slim tea business.
According to him, although he initially disapproved of the idea, he ultimately paid for her surgeries in Nigeria and Turkey to ensure her happiness and spent over €25,000 on the procedures and related expenses.
He also accused her of physical assault and destruction of property.
The artiste, who shares a child with Fella Makafui, expressed his reluctance to go public due to their family ties but stated that the situation has escalated beyond his control.
Following the allegations, the actress formally petitioned the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to investigate her estranged husband.
The petition is for allegedly publishing false news which she claims have endangered her life.
In her petition, she asserts that Medikal’s actions violate Section 208 of the Criminal Code of 1960, Act 29, which addresses the publication of false news.
She said his actions contravene the Electronic Communications Act 2008 (Act 775), specifically Sections 76 (1) and 76 (2), which prohibit the transmission of false or misleading information likely to endanger the safety of any person.
Later, in a press statement, the actress announced that she had taken notice of her estranged husband’s comments on social media about their four-year marriage, despite their mutual divorce agreement.
As such, she is not ready to air their dirty laundry in public; therefore, she has chosen to settle the matter before law enforcement agencies.
This legal action, she noted, is to also protect their daughter and herself from Medikal.
