A lot of long-distance relationships are fraught with uncertainty, trust issues, lies, and makes the saying that “absence makes the heart grow fonder,” one of those obnoxious, inspirational quotes told to couples in long distance-relationships.

Among the many factors that kill long-distance relationships is the constant underlying uncertainty of everything. The questions you tend to ask yourself during your most lonely hours can dominate one’s thinking. With the constant uncertainties come the thinking of whether it is this all worth it.

Being in a long-distance relationship presents one with the experience of an interesting and unique way to love.

Two recent studies found that people in long distance relationships report equal levels of relationship satisfaction, and even better levels of satisfaction on some measures, than conventional couples.

Certainly, the rise of Internet dating services and social media have predictably contributed to those who live on opposite ends of the world and met on the web, but have a real, not just a virtual, relationship. Society has finally started accepting long distance relationships as a viable alternative.
