The National Film Authority (NFA) celebrated young writers under its Script Bank Project on November 15, 2024, at the Accra Tourism Information Centre.
Focused on writers under 25, the initiative encouraged storytelling featuring the iconic Ananse character.
Nana Akosua Asiedu Ansah Asare won the Ananse Scriptwriters Competition with Seamless Heist, earning GHC 5,000.
Adusei Gabriel’s Meet Kwaku Ananse and Koby Cole’s The African Messiah secured the first and second runner-up spots, receiving GHC 3,000 and GHC 2,000, respectively.
Led by Juliet Asante, the NFA’s efforts aim to nurture young talent, fostering a thriving film industry by recognizing and supporting emerging creatives.
