Award winning songstress, Becca has said in an interview on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda that, hit song, “Na Wash” deserved to be nominated for Popular Song of the Year category for this year’s edition of the VGMA’s
“Na Wash was one of the popular songs for last year so I don’t know why it was not nominated for that particular category. I don’t know who is behind the selection process but I think the organizers have their reasons for the selection they made”, she said.
According to Becca, though she holds no bitterness against the organizers of the scheme, she hoped that her hard work could be recognized and rewarded as well as that of her fellow female artistes.
She further said the nomination seemed to be biased towards female artistes and as a feminist; she stands to see that act corrected.
She explained that despite her absence at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards this year, her team was on standby on her behalf, should she have won an award for the categories she was nominated for.
