Nadia & John battle Nigerians for ZAFAA’s top awards
Nominees for the 2012 edition of the Zulu African Film Academy Awards, ZAFAA have been unveiled.

An array of Nollywood stars attended the event. A few of the stars who made the nomination list include Funke Akindele, Monalisa Chinda and Nadia Buari who are up for the best actress category, while Joseph Benjamin and John Dumelo will battle with veteran Olu Jacobs for the Best Actor award.
Other nominees include Lancelot Imasuen, Ruke Amata and Desmond Elliot for the Best Director category, and Nse Ikpe-Etim and Martha Ankoma have been nominated in the Best Supporting actress category.
According to organizers, the aim of the award is to reward hardworking African filmmakers for the time, energy and resources invested in projecting African values through their films.
This year’s edition is the fifth and will hold in London on Friday, October 19, 2012 and Saturday, October 20, 2012.
Past ZAFAA winners include actors Genevieve Nnaji, Daniel Ademinokan, Majid Michel, Yemi Blaq and producers, Obi Emelonye and Emem Isong.
