Otumfuo’s rousing welcome at Oguaa Fetu Afahye [Watch]

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, received a warm welcome in Cape Coast as the Special Guest of Honour for the 2024 Oguaa Fetu Afahye.

Residents came out in large numbers to celebrate his arrival, which included traditional drumming, singing, and dancing.

The Oguaamanhen, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, greeted him with a handshake and warm embrace at the Emintsimadze Palace.

This marks the Asantehene’s first time attending the festival, symbolizing unity and respect between the Asante Kingdom and the people of Oguaa.

The festival promises to be an extraordinary cultural celebration.
