The Metropolitan Police has submitted evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) concerning former BBC DJ Tim Westwood, accused of historical sexual misconduct.
Allegations of predatory behavior and abuse of power against Westwood span from 1992 to 2017, based on testimonies collected by BBC News and The Guardian in 2022.
Westwood, who denies all claims, has been interviewed under caution four times. The CPS will now decide on potential charges.
Meanwhile, a delayed BBC review into his 20-year tenure with the broadcaster continues, with over £3 million spent, amid concerns about potential interference with the ongoing investigation.
