The Director of Creative Arts Council, Socrate Sarfo has explained why Sarkodie was named as an Ambassador for the Year of Return.
Speaking in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM which was monitored by zionfelix.net, Mr Sarfo said a lot of things were considered before the rapper’s appointment.
“In the first place Sarkodie was a Tourism Ambassador, and following his comment made on the BET platform relating to the Year of Return, GTA thought it wise to use him in this direction,” he revealed.
The Creative Arts Council Director further stated: “Sarkodie was given a citation but that doesn’t mean he is the only person that the industry recognizes and dealing with, there are others that will follow. They will also play other roles.”
He hinted that Shatta Wale has a different project that will be given to him to handle.
The ace filmmaker added that some technical hitches prevented them from announcing the different projects that they preparing to embark on during the Creative Arts Forum which took place at the National Theatre in Accra on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.
